Bhaji Burger

Ingredients

  • Burgers:
  • 1 Large Red Onion
  • 150g Gram Flour
  • 1 Red Chilli
  • 1 Small bunch Coriander
  • 1 inch ginger root
  • 1 heaped teaspoon coriander seeds
  • 1 heaped teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 heaped teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • Asian Guacamole:
  • 6 cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 red onion
  • 1 small chilli
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 quarter lime
  • 1 avocado
  • Recommended Burger Toppings:
  • Lettuce
  • Mango Chutney
  • Tomatoes
  • Popadoms
  • Red Onion
  • Burger Rolls

Directions

  • Put all the burger ingredients in a bowl and stir until you have a batter (add more water if you think it needs it)
  • Make a patties out of the batter & deep fry them until they’re golden & crispy (you could probably shallow fry them if you’d prefer, maybe even bake them!)
  • Put all the guacamole ingredients in a bowl & mash with a fork
  • Build your burgers
