Black Bean Sliders

Ingredients

  • Slider buns
  • 1 can black beans
  • ½ small red onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup oat flour (or rolled oats in a blender)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Fixings”:” tomatoes, lettuce, avo

Directions

  • Sauté onions and garlic in a pan with some vegetable oil, ensuring you do not burn the garlic.
  • Thoroughly drain the can of beans but do not rinse the beans.
  • Use a potato masher to smash the beans. A fork will also do.
  • Once the onions are translucent, combine them with the smashed beans and all remaining ingredients.
  • Mix well and freeze the mixture for 30 minutes.
  • Take out of the freezer and form slider-sized patties.
  • Cook in a pan with some oil until both sides are firm.
  • Top with your favorite fixings and enjoy!
