One Bowl Beer Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 (12-ounce) bottle lager beer
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Optional”:” 1 jalapeño, seeds removed, finely diced, 3 tablespoons sharp cheddar cheese

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • Spray with nonstick spray.
  • Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl.
  • Add beer, honey, and oil; stir until fully combined. Stir in the jalapeño and cheddar, if using.
  • Pour batter into loaf pan.
  • Bake until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean from the center, 50 to 60 minutes.
  • Let cool in pan for 15 minutes.
  • Slice and serve warm. Store bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
